Im in the same boat as you both. I am a 24-year-old sanguinarian. I was aware of a very deep bond with vampires of fiction and of my own vampiric instincts as far back in my early childhood as I can remember. While it is a part of myself that I have had to keep secret my entire life, for fear of the many misunderstandings surrounding it, it is also one that I see virtue in and hold sacred as a distinctive part of who I am. I spent quite a bit of time researching the subject of real/mortal vampirism as a teenager when I gained my first access to the Internet and discovered I wasnt alone in the way I felt. But ultimately my attention was directed elsewhere, so I never participated too much in any of the online communities, and I too formed my own theories and views on the subject.

Mostly what I was distracted by these past eight years was my relationship and domestic partnership with another sanguinarian, who filled the void of loneliness by being able to understand me in this regard as well as many other unusual ones. Three months ago she and I had a fight, and she disappeared off the face of the Earth without any warning. It would be nice if I could find some friends who I didnt have to hide this side of myself from, and if I can assist them with their own journeys of self discovery, I would be glad to do that, too.
